Dependency Description
IP Address of Polycom Phone Your Polycom Phone is required to have an IP Address and be connected to the internet to complete this setup. You can get the IP address of your phone by clicking Menu >> Status >> Network >> TCP/IP Parameters on your Polycom Phone.
Admin Password To login to the admin interface and/or to change your base profile, you will need to know the admin password. The default Polycom user is Admin and password is 456. If you are not able to access the advance settings and have lost your password, please review the How to Retrieve the Admin Password for a Polycom Phone article.
Reset to Factor Defaults We recommend resetting your phone to factor defaults to remove any previous settings that may have been set previously. Please review the How to Reset Polycom VoIP Phone to Factory Defaults article.
Firmware Circuit ID requires minimum firmware version UC Software 5.9.x For VVX phones, and 4.1.x for SoundPoint phones. For more information on how to upgrade the firmare on your Polycom phone, please visit How to Upgrade the Firmware on your Polycom IP Phone
If you have satisfied the above dependencies, then you're ready to follow the steps to configure your phone.

Login

Login to the Management Portal by clicking a sign-on provider or entering your Email Address and Password as shown in Exhibit 1. If you don't have an account, you can sign signup instantly by clicking here.

Create User Device

Navigate to Phone > Clients as shown in Exhibit 2a. Next, click the create icon on the upper right-hand side of the page as shown in Exhibit 2b. On the Clients page, complete the required fields under the Info tab as shown in Exhibit 2c. Click save once you are done. For your convenience, a description of each field is given below.

Name
Give your phone a descriptive name. Example: Winston’s Polycom
Type
Select the type of client from the drop down menu.
MAC
MAC address of your phone can be found on the back or bottom of the phone itself.
Contact
Select the User from the drop down list who this phone is being added for.
Auto Provision Type
Select your phone brand.
Navigate to Client Devices

Change Provisioning URL

Login to your Polycom Phone Admin Web interface using the Admin password described above and as shown in Exhibit 3a. The login URL is simply https:// plus your phone's IP (e.g. https://192.168.0.2).

Once you have successfully logged in, browse to the Provisioning Server page by highlighting the Settings menu and then clicking the Provisioning Server menu link.

Next, change the Server Type to HTTP, Server Address to poly.circuitid.com, and select Disable to Tag SN to UA as shown in Exhibit 3b.

Lastly, Save your changes and reboot your phone. Upon reboot your phone will automatically register whereby you can make and receive phone calls. Stick a fork in it as you're done!
